Dive into Climate Action – Marseille, September 4, 2021

Dive into Climate Action – Marseille, September 4, 2021

The IUCN World Conservation Congress marks an important moment for exploring and agreeing how we restore our relationship with nature. Alongside these important decisions, there is the need for shared celebrations of nature. So we would like to invite you to join us in a celebration of the ocean, to ‘Dive Into Climate Action’; because all life comes from the ocean, and it is the largest carbon sink on the planet, absorbing over 90 percent of anthropogenic warming in the last 50 years.

Let’s invigorate ourselves for the work ahead, reconnect with this life-giving and sustaining force, and demonstrate to global leaders that ending destructive fishing and restoring ocean health should be part of any climate action plan.

Join us with big-wave surfing champion Maya Gabeira and European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevičius

Please let us know if you will be joining us, and of course, if you have any questions or queries. And let’s dive into climate action.

This event has now taken place – check out the press release and the photo and video.
